Transportation and Driving Directions

Local commuters and Southern Californians:
We highly recommend taking transit, commuter trains, or carpooling!

Metro Bus and Metro Rail Red Line serve Universal City. (www.metro.net) Universal City Station on Metro Rail’s Red Line is very close to the Sheraton. Exit the station, cross Universal Hollywood Drive and walk about 10 minutes up the hill to the Sheraton.Metrolink (www.metrolinktrains.com), Amtrak (www.amtrak.com) and Rail 2 Rail (www.railtorail.org) trains, as well as many Southern California transit agencies, connect to Union Station. Getting to Universal City From Outside Metropolitan Los Angeles

Airports

The closest and most convenient airport to the Sheraton Universal is the Bob Hope Airport in Burbank. (5.6 miles away, driving time estimated at 18 minutes). Airlines served: Alaska, American, Delta, JetBlue, Southwest, United, and  US Airways .

Further away is Los Angeles International Airport. (26 miles away, driving time estimated at 33 minutes to 1.5 hours). LAX is served by nearly 90 passenger airlines.

Trains

Amtrak can be a very cost-effective and relaxing way to travel to Los Angeles, if you have the luxury of extra time. Discounts, such as AAA, are often available. Union Station is about 12 miles from the Sheraton Universal.
